Part of this project involves researching the different locations where events in our family history have occurred. We started with places that relate to the earliest Pusch family records - towns like Vladimer in the Wohlynia region of Russia. (Challenging and fun! Would you like to guess how many different ways you can spell Vladimer? Or Wohlynia? Hint: It depends who made the map, when they made it, and what language they spoke. And of course Wolhynia was not always in Russia - for a period of time it was part of Poland and it is presently in the Western Ukraine.)
