INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp. lard
  • 1 med. size onion, chopped
  • 1 chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 tbsp. flour mixed with a little water
  • 1 c. cream
  • 2 heaping tsp. paprika

DIRECTIONS

  1. Simmer onion in lard until clear; add paprika.
  2. Add cut up chicken. Simmer slowly and salt, to taste.
  3. Let simmer until chicken is tender. Add water as necessary.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon flour mixed in water and cream. Cook until sauce thickens.
  5. Add more flour if you like a thick sauce. Serve with dumplings (Galuska).
