INGREDIENTS

  • 1 - 19 oz. can fruit cocktail
  • 1-1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten

Topping:

  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. chopped nuts

DIRECTIONS

  1. Drain fruit cocktail and save juice.
  2. Mix dry ingredients, beaten egg and juice of fruit cocktail.
  3. Mix in the fruit and pour into greased pan.
  4. Mix brown sugar and chopped nuts; sprinkle on top.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 40 to 45 minutes.

Serve with lemon sauce or whipped cream.
