INGREDIENTS
- 4 c. warm water
- 1/4 c. honey
- 2 tbsp. molasses
- 1/2 c. oil
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 4 tsp. salt
- 7 - 9 c. whole wheat flour
- 2 c. white flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tbsp. fast-rising yeast
DIRECTIONS
- Measure water into large mixing bowl. Add honey, molasses, oil, beaten eggs, lemon juice and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add 5 cups of flour with 2 tablespoons yeast. Beat vigorously.
- Let rise for 15 to 20 minutes. Stir in rest of flour to make a workable dough.
- Knead. Place in greased bowl and let rise for 20 minutes. Punch down, then let rise until double in bulk.
- Shape into round balls. Cover and let rise 20 minutes.
- Form into loaves and let rise about 40 to 50 minutes.
- Bake in oven at 350 degrees F. for 40 minutes or until done.
